Great Live Version of 「Summer Madness」!!
Robert Kool Bellをリーダーとするバンドの76年作。タイトル曲「Love & Understanding」や「Cosmic Energy」といったファンク/レアグルーヴ曲も良いですが、やはり「Summer Madness」のライブテイクが一際素晴らしいです!!スタジオテイクにはない終盤の展開も素晴らしいです!!DJ Koolネタとして有名な「Hollywood Swinging」と「Universal Sound」もライブ録音です。

Maurice White率いるバンドEarth Wind & Fireの74年リリースレコード。こちらは70年代リプレス盤。A1「Mighty Mighty」、A5「Kalimba Story」辺りのファンクトラックも勿論、ほのかな高揚感がとても心地良いA2「Devotion」、Skyzoo「Meadow of Trust」でサンプリングされたA4「Feelin Blue」、しっとりとしたB5「Open Your Eyes」といったメロウトラック、カリンバの音色とファンクなグルーヴが絡み合うレアグルーヴトラックB1「Drum Song」等、アルバム通して素晴らしい内容です!!
